what is wrong with me? WOMEN ONLY!!!!?
ok so i am a 22 yr old female. i had a period on may 8th 2010 that lasted until the 11th. I have a normal 28 day cycle and my periods are usually pretty much the same.Most of the time they are pretty chunky (sry tmi) whith alot of blood clots and tissue. My husband and i slept together everyday(somedays twice) from the 12th of may to the 25th of may! Starting on may the 22nd i started having mild menstrual like cramps that have continued all the way to today(June 23rd 2010)! they are very mild and are not painful at all. On June the 6th i started a very abnormal for me period that was medium heavy dark red and very painful. Unusually enough though i only had one clot and one small piece of tissue that i was aware of which was not normal for me. the 6th and 7th were medium flow and the 8-13th were very very light. also it was 8 days and has never since i was 13 been that long. Also i have had a headache everday from the 23rd of may to today the 23rd of june. i have also been experiencing these mild dull aches on my lower abdomen that rotate from the left to the right everyday and they are somewhat sharp but not painful. i can easily ignore them as with the cramps and the mild somewhat sharp lower back pain that i sometimes get! Lately i have noticed these big blue veins all over my body especially my chest and arms. they are big and very noticeable. Also my nipples have gotten bigger and stay hard. I also have alot of small hairs starting to sprout around my areolas that have never been there. i have taken 8 pregnancy test and all have been negative. i have a blood test in 2 weeks which was the earliest i could get in the free clinic because i have no insurance. Has anyone ever experienced this before? I have researched from Irritable bowel syndrome to hormone imbalance but nothing seems to match my symptoms as much as the pregnancy ones that i have read about. But like i said….BFN!! Whats going on with me?????
Also i had bad(and i mean bad) gas pains and constipation for about 3 weeks that just ended within the past 2 days!
BTW to add to my crazy symptoms, i rarely get pimples and for the past 2 weeks i have gotten atleast one new pimple every day! i eat healthy, exercise (part of being in the army) and i dont wear makeup and havent tried anything new in my skincare regimen! i also have bee taking the same prenatal vitamins for the past year! so there is no change in anything i am doing whatsoever! my periods have been regular since i can remember and i have never been on birth control!

Thank you all for your answers! They have definitely eased my mind a bit. As for the army and no health insurance, i am in the Army National Guard so therefore Tricare is not provided free as with Active Army! i am currently in the process of trying to find the right insurance being i barely bring home $200.00 a month in drill pay!
Hi !! I know exactly what you are going through. I had similar symptoms 3 years ago and all my preg test came back negative even at my doctors office. After driving my self bout crazy I finally went back to my GYN and asked them to run a blood test. It also came back negative but knowing how I always had regular cycles for years my GYN decided to do an ultrasound. And sure enough there was my baby!! He is now a healthy little 2 year old running around keeping me on my toes!! Good luck to you !! Hope everything is Fine and hope this helped !!
I have no faith in the doctors my estranged family visit-my 13yr daughter has been prescribed pills for IBS ??
My daughter has had abdominal pains for nearly a year now-
(which according to her size and age, maturity etc – doesn’t suprise me BUT I still have to be vigilant instead of complacent.
I believe that she is very much pre- menstrual and that she’s also eating inappropriately (as kids with hormones do- adults with hormones do too).
Her doctors have never been the same from 1 appointment to the next- they have used guesswork and no real test for evidence of what they think is wrong-YET on a whim they prescribe drugs (mebeverine) for irritable bowel syndrome?
IS MEBEVERINE GOING TO DO ANY HARM OR ACTUALLY CAUSE THE SYNDROME SHOULD MY DAUGHTER NOT ALREADY HAVE THE SYDROME?
I think doctor’s ought to show some working out on their paper like we had to in our o’levels and maybe we might trust a little more- or might ask why there is none.

They should do blood work to help rule out other factors and also maybe do a lower GI to check her lining. No real bad side effects of mebeverine. But they can be different for each person. Go to a new doctor and explain the symptoms and ask for additional blood work to be done if you want to make sure her levels are doing ok.

Negative pregnancy tests but is wrong with me?
I am 3 weeks late for my period. I have done 2 home pregnancy tests one week apart but both show negative results.
I came off the pill last november and have been trying for a baby with my fiance to no avail. My periods were like clockwork, they always came between the 25th and 27th of each month, however, last month my period came on the 7th and im still waiting for this months period to come.
A week after my period was due i went to the toilet and when i wiped there was a bloody like mucus on the toilet roll, just like there always is when my period starts. This happened 3 times that day but then stopped and i have not had anything since.
My stomach has felt really sore and bloated over the last 2 weeks. I have an ongoing medical condition – pain predominant irritable bowel syndrome which causes stomach pain and bloating when i am stressed – but the pains i have been getting dont feel the same as this and dont feel like period pain either.
I am feeling really tired all the time, i have become increasingly irritable and moody, and get waves of nausea but am not actually vomiting. I have always had a really strong appetite but lately i am either ridiculously hungry or not hungry at all
Any suggestions on what could be wrong as i am really confused. I really want to be pregnant but 2 negative readings prove otherwise. Is my mind playing tricks on me or am i actually pregnant and just not showing enough hormones to be detected on the home pregnancy tests.
You sound just like me. I’m 3 weeks late too and testing negative. That blood was most likely implantation bleeding. Especially if it was just the one day.
I feel just like you do – sore, bloated, sick, very tired, nauseated etc.
Keep this in mind, my first didn’t test positive for three months. So if you keep feeling this way, keep testing once a week. I’m not getting blood work done until I miss my next period. Hopefully by then I’ll get a positive. Don’t lose hope because it’s still possible. Some women just don’t develop enough hormones to register on those tests right away. Some don’t even test positive on those tests at all through their entire pregnancy.
